VICE
This project was made during my third year of college, neck deep in the waxing and waning of finding any outlet for some sort of sweet release. We all have a vice, and most young adults of my generation find themselves indulging with at least one of the practices displayed. As we grow and gain experience through the pressures of life and venture into adulthood, it becomes more aware that everyone falls prey to a crutch to lean on. This series of portraits was intended to be a light that shines on the seemingly immoral activities happening behind closed doors, but the morality of such activities is subjective to the beholder. Inspired by the lighting techniques of Jillian Greenberg, the methods used for the portraits was meant to blur the line between right and wrong.
